In this sermon, Fr. Mark reflects on three powerful Gospel readings that reveal the heart of the Christian life: the temptation of Christ, the parable of the Prodigal Son, and the encounter with the Samaritan woman.
Each of these stories asks the same question: Are we truly living as sons and daughters of God?
Although we receive this identity through baptism, many believers still live with the mindset of slaves or orphans. Some, like the prodigal son, wander away from the Father. Others, like the older brother, remain in the Father’s house but live without joy or freedom. And some, like the Samaritan woman, encounter Christ for the first time and are completely transformed.
