In a world marked by war, outrage, division and deep conflict, what might it mean to take seriously Jesus’ words: “Blessed are the peacemakers”? In this talk, Clark reflects on the global crisis of violence, the Church’s complicated history with power, and the radically different vision of peace we see in Jesus. Exploring themes of non-violence, creativity, vulnerability and hope, this message asks what peacemaking might look like in our inner world, in our relationships, and in the wider world around us.
