Continuing our sermon series, This is my Faith, exploring our faith through The Apostle's Creed, this week Daniel reflects on the phrase

‘he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.’

He reflects on how Jesus' ascension prompts consideration of finding balance between heavenly focus and earthly action, being empowered by the Holy Spirit to witness effectively.

During our all age end of Jungle Quest holiday club service, Emily gave a short talk continuing our sermon series, This is my Faith, exploring our faith through The Apostle's Creed. This week we were looking at the phrase:

‘he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.’

Emily talked about how when Jesus ascended into heaven the disciples must have felt sad and scared but they had the promise of the Holy Spirit with them… and we have that too!

On our weekend away we were joined by John Andrews who did four talks on the passage Acts 16: 22-40. The theme of the weekend was Just Before Dawn. 

In session 4 John spoke about the significance of intentional encouragement, using words as a powerful tool to uplift and transform lives, fostering a sense of unity and support within communities.
