A Cooperative Venture by First Baptist, Highland Church of Christ, St. Paul United Methodist and First Central Presbyterian churches.
For the second year we are unable to have our wonderful luncheons and Holy Week programs because of the pandemic. We are choosing to “sing” in the storm as we continue the 38-year tradition of our noon time observance of Holy Week along with other downtown congregations. Many consider this series as some of the best evidence the shared faith and trust of Abilenians.
So prepare a lunch and enjoy watching the service on Monday through Thursday at noon. A link will be available nearer to the upcoming Holy Week. You will also be able to go to one of the church’s web pages and/or Facebook pages.

Loretta Fulton, Abilene’s Religion reporter writes this about the Holy Week shared experience:
Of all the religious events I attend and write about each year, the Holy Week Luncheon Series is a favorite. It brings together people from a variety of Christian worship experiences and traditions. We learn from each other, and we learn to appreciate difference, not merely tolerate difference. The daily sermons are always excellent, and the communal worship experience is something to be cherished. I know we will all enjoy a huge group hug next year when we meet in person (hopefully), but until then, let's enjoy a virtual Holy Week experience.
We can still be together even though we are scattered. We value your participation.
