We live in a world full of distractions keeping us from giving our full attention to what's important. Practice saying "no" to distractions, personal attacks, religious manipulation, and retaliation.

Nehemiah addresses the root of exploitation and what we can do to combat exploitation? Generosity as a lifestyle is antidote to greed. To whom can you be generous this week with the gifts of time, money or possessions God has given you? Whom has God placed in your path who needs your generosity?

Anytime you seek to do something for God, criticism is inevitable. Nehemiah teaches us to respond to criticism by praying first and being persisting with the task at hand.

Change can't occur until the people in the community commit to be the change they want to see. Our primary task is not community transformation. Our primary task is people transformation by the gospel. Who's on your team to help you achieve your mission?
