Our priority is to please God and we should live in a way that we do so. Trusting God does not mean that we always understand, but still we should trust. We are servants , and should understand that as we need to make it personal and ask ourselves: Have I RESOLVED to say YES to God.

Hold on to your faith! God is always at work, even during the dark times! God is gracious, even when you doubt Him, even when you fail Him. God is gracious god!

We all have our down days. Feeling as though we are not accomplishing any purpose. One out of Nine people deal with symptoms of depression. Contributing factors of depression are as follows: fear (1 King 19:3), feelings of failure (1 Kings 19:4), fatigue (1 King 19:5), futility (1 Kings 19:10). God responds to fear in 1 King by resting Elijah. He responds to feelings of failure by refreshing Elijah. He responds to fatigue by renewing Elijah's personal relationship with God. He responds to futility by redirecting Elijah's focus.

God can take people who live with a little faith and use them to accomplish great things.

The favor of God rest upon those who give, because it is better to give than receive! Giving is the antidote to greed and giving demonstrates that the giver has a proper view of themselves, the world, and God.

Holy God deserves Holy people.

We are commanded from God to be holy. God is apart from everything. NO COMPETITION! Jesus died for our sins. We must make the CHOICE to submit to the power of JESUS. We must reject everything or one that isn't consistent with the word of GOD.

When God is valuable, we make time for him. Between humanity and GOD, God is the initiator. Meeting with God is always of God's initiative.

We all struggle in hearing the voice of God. Preachers and leaders are not exempt in going through life's struggles, they are human just like everyone else.

God is a God of the rejected. Life is sometimes filled with disappointments. We have expectations and dreams like Rachel, just to wake up and realize we have turnout like Leah. Sometimes we may give up, but do not despise/reject Leah. We tend to look for confirmation and approval from those who had rejected us. Keep in mind that although Jacob rejected Leah, God still loves her with an everlasting love and accepts her for for who she is. God deserves our praise!!
