Now even the King of Judah, Ahaz, falls to worship false gods, even to the point of building an altar to that false god in the Temple.

Though the kings and the people are not faithful, God keeps His promises and protects them.

We see that we do give thanks unto the Lord, "for He is good (alone) and His Mercy endures forever." God endures though we are sinners and go our own way.

The daughter of king Ahab and queen Jezebel kills the royal family, and only one child is saved who becomes king.

Jehu takes the lives of all the family of Ahab for leading the children of Israel to worshiping Baal, but yet he does not stop worshiping other gods.

God fulfills His Word of condemnation of king Ahab and queen Jezebel, and His Word of deliverance for the people of Israel.

The great things that God did through the prophet, Elisha, and the continued whiched ways of the kings of Israel and Judah.
