Pentecost is not as much a commemoration of a past event, as much as it is an opportunity to see where the Spirit is leading us into the future empowered by the peace it offers.

The Ascension inaugurates a new time of waiting and anticipating. As we look ahead to the Spirit's entry and Christ's return we are sent to witness to God's message of mercy and repentance.

Jesus speaks directly to the "troubled hearts" of his disciples as he promises them the Holy Spirit. This Spirit will serve as another Advocate in his absence, ensuring his love endures in and through them.

God has prepared an eternal home for all of us, and this radical invitation is a gift for all people. It is our task to share this radical hospitality with others in Christ's name.

The image of the Good Shepherd is very common, and yet, an uncommon vocation in our daily experience. This year we approach this image from multiple perspectives, including the community that shepherds well.

Guest preacher Rev. Jason Mohn, of Exodus World Service, comes to share with us his work of extending God's radical hospitality to all people, particularly refugees seeking safety. We are called to serve and share Christ's love with all.

The season of Easter is a time of witness as we encounter the resurrected Lord in various ways through scripture and our own experience. Our call now is to witness to these experiences in our own lives through word and deed.

John's telling of the resurrection has us running all over as God's truth slowly becomes our truth. It's the truth of the resurrection and death's defeat for all of creation.

The end of Jesus' life is the beginning of our life as Christians. The "Lamb of God" suffers death, that we may be liberated from death.

Jesus seems to know it all as he shared in a moving moment with his disciples. Love and service stand at the center of this scene and the call to be a Christian.
