This is the Midweek Lent Service from St. Paul's in Ireton, IA.  Our readings for this service were from Acts 10:34-43 and Luke 7:18-23.

We like to be in control, but sometimes, life doesn't go the way that we expect. Christ comes into the midst of our lives regardless of any circumstances or situations we are in.  God's blessings to you all! Readings for this Sunday were Exodus 17:1-7, Romans 5:1-8, and John 4:5-26.

Jesus overcomes temptation for us!  We can look to him in the midst of our temptations as well! Readings from this Sunday are from Genesis 3:1-21, Romans 5:12-19, and Matthew 4:1-11.

At the Transfiguration of Christ, the disciples were terrified by the presence of God's Glory.  We, too, stand in the presence of God at worship, but because of Christ, we know we have nothing to fear! Reading for this Transfiguration are Exodus 24:8-18, 2 Peter 1:16-21 and Matthew 17:1-9.

God's Word is very clear about His expectation of perfection from His people.  His call to perfection doesn't drive us to despair, but instead to the saving Grace of Jesus Christ.  Readings from this Sunday were Deuteronomy 30:15-20, 1 Corinthians 3:1-9, and Matthew 5:21-37.

It's not WHAT you know, but it's WHO you know!  Readings for this Sunday are from Isaiah 58:3-9a, 1 Corinthians 2:1-12, and Matthew 5:13-20.

The Lord views success much different that the world does.  The message of Christ Crucified sounds like failure and foolishness to the rest of the world, but to us, it is the ultimate success! Readings for this Sunday were Micah 6:1-8, 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 and Matthew 5:1-12.
