On the day that we conmemmorate the Conversion of Paul, we are reminded that the Holy Spirit empowers us with a new way to see, a new way to love and an new way to live. For some conversion is dramatic experience similar to Paul's. For other's conversion is less dramatic, but no less significant. 

God changes the way we view him, ourselves and other people. He rescues us so that we can rescue others.

When Jesus asks Peter who people say Jesus is, Peter responds in a way  that has forever marked the Christian Church. The declaration, "You are  the Messiah, the Son of the Living God," means that Jesus is our all in  all. He is the foundation of all our hopes, dreams and aspirations.  

God speaks to us in a variety of ways. He speaks through Scripture, through our conscience, through our reason. He preeminently speaks to us in and through his Son.

Have you ever wondered what the spiritual discipline of Solitude it like? 

Jesus stole away to spend time with his father. Solitude reminds us that we are built for communion.

Baptism is more than a bath, but not less. It is an outward sign (badge)  of an inward grace. In Baptism God, we visually proclaim that we have  died to sin and self and live a new life in Christ. The old has gone,  the new has come.
