“CARING FOR CARERS”

Today David will be speaking on the last of our series on “People in Pain” as he addresses the issue of “Caring for Carers”.

Just as Christ came to serve, we are called to love and serve others. When it comes to those closest to us this can often come with a cost in terms of time, physical and emotional energy, as well as added financial burden.

However, God has not left us alone to bear these burdens. He has given us His Spirit, who works in and through us. He gives us the inspiration and example of His Son, who served us with His very life. We have His Word which reminds us of the fact that He will never leave nor forsake us. And He has also given us each other – the Body of Christ.

In Galatians 6:2 Paul encourages us to “carry each other’s burdens”. So, let’s consider today how we can care for those among us who are struggling under the weight of caring for another.
