Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.

Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.

He said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him.

For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.

The person who is trustworthy in very small matters

is also trustworthy in great ones; and the person who is dishonest in very small matters is also dishonest in great ones.

For behold, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last.

If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?

“Do not weep.” He stepped forward and touched the coffin; at this the bearers halted, and he said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!”
