We’re spending 2023 in the book of Acts. It’s an amazing account of the birth of the church and throughout the text there are amazing details.
This Sunday we looked at Stephen. A few weeks ago in Chapter 5 we looked at how the Christian life has significant up and downs, it’s not a story of endless comfort and pleasure, without challenges and difficulty. Stephen’s life encapsulates that, chosen as someone ‘full of the Spirit’ he eventually tragically pays for his faith in Christ, with his life, stoned to death.
The Sunday, we were delighted that Rev Gavin Foster is joining us to share about Stephen’s life. Gavin is a vicar on the South coast, was Bishop’s Chaplain in Winchester and currently works for the Diocesan Registry in Salisbury, he also led our time away in the Gower last year. As we discover more together of what God has to say to us today, I wonder how important is your faith in Christ?
