Why would Nicodemus come to Jesus like this--at night...in secret?

This day celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit and the establishment of the New Testament church on earth...

But...

What has happened since?

Why does Jesus rebuke them...or us for not believing...and notice it was not believing when seeing, but believing THE REPORT...THE MESSAGE...THE WORD...THE WORD OF PROMISE here...?

St. James is telling us a reality of the Christian life. He is repeating the idea that Jesus talked about earlier.

Jesus says there were two sons. Their father asked them to go and work for Him. One said yes, but did not go. The other said no, but changed his mind and went and did.

Isaiah is speaking about us, this day. We ARE giving thanks today…

Sometimes, though...we just cannot see...this...see Him...

Right?  These times… in our lives… in life… we cannot see any good, any hope...anything...for the future. We cannot hold up, as Jeremiah states.

Who is wounded now?

Jesus. Yes, He is.

But wait, isn’t He healed and alive and risen from the dead to never die again…to be without pain, suffering…

You look and see Him…on the cross…dead. Your sins are paid for. You are free to go…to go about your business…to now live—a life…to be…to do. But what do we do?
