The Immaculate Conception (IC) is a mystery of God’s wisdom, omnipotence and goodness. In her IC we have the most beautiful example of Christ’s redemption; of how He wishes to save us! She always lives in the light God – in a state of perfect grace. It is God’s will that she be perfectly united to her Son in the great work of saving souls. Each one of us is supposed to live without stain. These truths are a summary of the mission of every catholic priest. Thus the priest, more than anyone else, has to be closely united to the IC. Otherwise, he will be unable to help others walk in the light, live without stain, receive grace, and attain the salvation of their soul.

SaveA serious reflection on the truth of the Immaculate Conception leads one to realize that God has granted Our Lady an unlimited power to save us. God made her immaculate for His glory and for our salvation. Apply this truth to your life. It will help you cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Ask our Lady to help you, even more than you have done in the past. Pray with the saints: “Immaculate Virgin, thou hast to save me!”

Three brief daily sermons.

Christ began the great work of salvation in His mortal life. The Holy Ghost brings this work to completion through the Catholic Church, who proclaims this truth at the start of Advent, reminding man that he has no duty more pressing than the salvation of his soul.

Everything we experience now is passing. Yet Christ’s decree upon His Second Coming is everlasting. He who lives for this world is a complete fool. In all we do, we ought to be preparing ourselves for eternity.

St. Nicholas is one of history’s greatest miracle workers and patron saints. On account of his zeal for the truth, he punched the heretic Arius. The emperor in turn deposed and imprisoned him, but Our Lord and Our Lady visited him and restored him to honor.

The Church begins the year by proclaiming the infallible dogma that Jesus will come again on the clouds with great power and majesty. In this time, she repeatedly prays “Adventus Domini” (the Lord Comes, Come Lord!) Why does Jesus come? To save men’s souls. Likewise He will come a Second Time also for men’s salvation. He did not come primarily to ‘make this world a better place.’ In fact, St. Pius X teaches that those who focus too much on doing temporal good first, including inter-religious collaboration, distort who Christ is and the message of His gospel! Thus at the start of each year, the Church focuses us on (1) Jesus, (2) Salvation and (3) Eternity. Each one will experience happiness or misery for ALL ETERNITY. Ask God for greater faith – that you will truly believe this Truth and live this Advent accordingly. Then pray to God for the graces necessary for your salvation.

Two brief daily sermons.

St. Gertrude the Great was a great advocate for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. She learned that some suffering souls are unable to benefit from the Church’s regular aids until they receive a special grace. The best way to aid them is through prayers which are fueled by great affection for Our Lord.

Every grace granted to man has a three-fold order: it is communicated by God to Christ, from Christ it passes to the Virgin, and from her it descends to us. No grace comes to us except through Mary’s mediation, even to the holy souls in Purgatory – for such is God’s will. Our Lady has the power of delivering souls form Purgatory. For example, on the day of her Assumption, Purgatory was entirely emptied, and on Saturdays, she visits Purgatory to relieve the suffering of poor souls.

All salvation and truth come from Jesus Christ. To love Jesus is to love the truth. Jesus Himself teaches and sanctifies – today – through and in the Catholic Church. This is why there is no salvation outside the Church, “the pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Tim 3:15). Thus, the mission of the Catholic Church is to teach the same truth and communicate the same salvation which only come from Christ. This too is the mission of the pope and this is why he is central to the Catholic Faith. The pope has a sacrosanct mission to always guard, transmit and teach the truths taught by Jesus, without which there is no salvation. And so the pope is never above the truth. This means that today we must oppose the words and actions of Pope Francis. This is obviously not normal in our Catholic religion, but we are living in extraordinary times as our Blessed Mother foretold both at Quito Ecuador and at Fatima.

Through the Liturgical Year, the Church teaches us who Christ is. Great emphasis is laid on His being the King, not just through major feasts, but via numerous proper and common liturgical prayers. This is an extremely important dogma of our faith which is largely being ignored today, even by the Catholic hierarchy. Let us spend more time meditating upon His Kingship and praying that Christ will come and reign over our mind, will, heart and body.

There is an inseparable relationship between salvation and truth. It is certain that God wills us to be saved and just as certain that He wants us to come to knowledge of the truth. Both come to us only through Jesus Christ. Yet there is a terrible apocalyptic loss of the Faith in the Church today as many disassociate truth from salvation. Be faithful to the Truth! Be convinced of the all-importance of working to save your soul. Remember, Our Lady came at Fatima to focus us on the truth, to help save poor souls, and to proclaim God’s glory.

On this 101st anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima, Father reminds us of the profound connections between Our Lady’s Message at Fatima and Catholic Truth and the prayer of the most Holy Rosary. It is the neglect of Catholic Truth (those truths revealed to us by God ) which lies at the source of the world’s – and the Church’s – many evils. Man has become too engrossed in the goods of this world and has lost sight of God and the world to come. Daily faithful recitation of the Holy Rosary helps keep us focused on the the central mysteries of the Faith and heavenly treasures.
