Emad Mostaque, the CEO and board member of AI startup Stability AI, has resigned from his position, citing his desire to pursue decentralized AI. The company, which has received funding from notable investors, is yet to find a permanent replacement for Mostaque. In the meantime, Stability AI has appointed its COO and CTO as interim co-CEOs. Mostaque expressed concerns about the concentration of power in AI and called for more transparency and distributed governance in the industry. Stability AI has experienced setbacks recently, including the loss of key talent members and failed attempts to raise new funding. Nevertheless, Mostaque remains optimistic about the company's future prospects.
