Surprise … your world is in upheaval .... again.

Well, really it is a continuation. It is becoming more visible this week than it was several weeks ago.

I have been having many conversations with leaders, at all levels, about what is going on in the world right now, particularly around the implications of a potential fuel shortage or crisis and the impacts that may follow, and what should leaders focus on.

Let me share some ideas on this.

This week I was working with the most senior leaders of Hilton Australasia, and part of our session focused on visible leadership. It was a timely reminder to me… to remind you about how important visible leadership is right now.

Do you have an active crisis management team right now?

It is essential leadership to be considering the potential eventualities of the current global situation, and be treating it as a potential crisis or emergency for which your organisation and people need to be prepared.

If you are anything like me, you might look around yourself at the moment and feel like the world is on fire. You are concerned.

When this concern keeps going day after day, it can be overwhelming. It can feel like there is nothing you can do to make a difference.

But maybe there is.
