  1. Number 1: 465: “Maybe he has a pizza shop” ft. Kevin Carter

Thirteen days from kickoff and Florida still doesn't have a quarterback. Dan, Nick, Jordan and Corry break down everything out of Saturday's second fall scrimmage, run through a loaded week in Gators sports — and then sit down with one of the greatest defensive linemen to ever wear orange and blue. 📋 IN THIS EPISODE Scrimmage No. 2 breakdown — the offense won most of the night, with Waltez Clark finding the end zone twice, plus scores from Evan Pryor and Jadan Baugh The QB battle — Aaron Philo vs. Tramell Jones Jr. with the FAU opener two weeks out. Sumrall: "When we know, we'll know. Somebody has to take the first snap." Red zone, red zone, red zone — why Sumrall has hammered this all camp, and what Buster Faulkner's Georgia Tech offense (32 TDs on 55 red zone trips) is supposed to fix Wide-open tackle battle on the offensive line, and what's still unsettled up front Florida misses the preseason AP Top 25 — No. 27 with 51 votes, 27th in the Coaches Poll, with nine SEC teams ranked ahead of them Todd Golden takes a hit — the eligibility ruling that changes Florida's basketball roster math 2027 recruiting stays hot — the class sits Top 6 nationally, and five-star Maxwell Hiller isn't budging 🐊 OUR GUEST: KEVIN CARTER Kevin Carter came to Gainesville out of Lincoln High School in Tallahassee and left as one of the most decorated defensive linemen in Florida history — three SEC championships under Steve Spurrier, consensus first-team All-American in 1994, 21.5 career sacks and 42.5 tackles for loss. The Rams took him sixth overall in 1995, and he played fourteen NFL seasons with St. Louis, Tennessee, Miami and Tampa Bay: 104.5 career sacks, two Pro Bowls, and a Super Bowl XXXIV ring after leading the entire league with 17 sacks in 1999. Today he's a studio analyst for CBS Sports and one of three former Gators on the 2027 College Football Hall of Fame ballot. 2. Number 2: 469: "Stock Mouth Piece"

Florida opened the Jon Sumrall era with a 66-21 blowout of Florida Atlantic in front of a sold-out Swamp, and the offense was every bit as good as advertised. Aaron Philo went 16 of 21 for 275 yards and three touchdowns in his first start, Jadan Baugh ran for 160 yards and three scores on just 14 carries, and Vernell Brown III went for 117 yards and the first touchdown of his career. Florida piled up 624 total yards, went 8-for-8 in the red zone, and scored on 10 of 11 drives. But there is a real conversation to be had about the other side of the ball. FAU moved it for 396 yards, converted 11 of 22 third downs, and Caden Veltkamp threw it 53 times against a Gators pass rush that barely got home. We get into all of it. On this episode we break down: Aaron Philo's debut and what it means for the season Jadan Baugh crossing 2,000 career rushing yards Buster Faulkner's offense and the red zone efficiency The defensive concerns nobody wants to bring up after a 45-point win Patrick Durkin's 53-yard field goal and the special teams units Sumrall's sideline energy and what changed in The Swamp Looking ahead to Campbell and then Auburn on the road Florida's 66 points were the most in a season opener since the 1994 team hung 70 on New Mexico State under Steve Spurrier. Dan, Nick de la Torre, and Jordan Scarlett break down Florida's quarterback decision, the secondary, the safeties, and special teams ahead of the Gators' season opener against FAU in The Swamp. WHAT WE GET INTO: - Aaron Philo named the starter — why it took this long, and what it means for the QB room - The chemistry question: Philo vs. the receivers he hasn't thrown to since spring - Where Philo stacks up in an SEC quarterback field that is thinner than people think - Buster Faulkner's offense: running it between the tackles and getting weapons in space - The Graham Mertz comp — and why "fine" might be exactly good enough - Florida's cornerback room: Ben Hanks, Cormani McClain, Dijon Johnson, Jovari Flowers - Star/nickel with Kaneil Clark, plus the safety room — Bryce Thornton, DJ Coleman, Cam Dooley, Alfonso Allen - The standard of the No. 1 jersey at Florida: Reggie Nelson, Janoris Jenkins, Keiwan Ratliff - Special teams: Patrick Durkin, Aussie punter Alec Clark, and why an elite holder matters - Punt and kick return battle — VB3, Jaylen Lloyd, Justin Williams - Running back logjam: Jadan Baugh's workload and Duke Clark's hamstring - Todd Golden's 6-year, $49.5M extension, the bonus structure, and the buyout language - Denzel Aberdeen's eligibility situation and where it stands - Dan Mullen's UNLV debut and the Gators still on that staff - Justin Gaethje speaking to the team, plus the best guest speakers of camp - Felipe Franks surviving in the NFL on special teams - The Daejon Love fraud story and a very unpopular take about it - A camp health report that's better than anyone expected Game Day Eve drops Friday with our FAU predictions and season picks. We get Danny's take on the first week of the Jon Sumrall era, Aaron Philo's three-touchdown debut, Jadan Baugh's 160-yard opener, and what this defense has to clean up before SEC play starts at Auburn. 5. Number 5: 463: "Under Construction and Gale" ft. Scott Stricklin

Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin joins Stadium & Gale for a wide-ranging 50-minute conversation on the coaching search that landed Jon Sumrall, the NFL-style general manager structure built around Dave Caldwell, the $1.45 billion Ben Hill Griffin Stadium renovation, and where college athletics goes if Congress never acts. Stricklin gets candid about why past Florida coaches were "asked to do the impossible," how Urban Meyer and Danny Wuerffel were actually used in the search (and why Nick wasn't), the living-room meeting in New Orleans where Sumrall and Caldwell met for the first time, staff creep across college football, donor fatigue in the NIL era, why private equity is "a really expensive loan," and whether the Colorado and Notre Dame games survive a nine-game SEC schedule. Plus: Dan, Nick and Corry break down Saturday's scrimmage — the quarterback competition, Eric Singleton's speed, the offensive line concerns, safety depth, and what's realistic for this Florida team. Stadium & Gale covers Florida Gators football, basketball and the business of college athletics from the corner of Stadium Road and Gale Lemerand Drive. 🔔 Subscribe for new episodes every Sunday evening 🎧 Listen on Apple Podcasts / Spotify link 𝕏 Follow us: @StadiumandGale #Gators #FloridaGators #ScottStricklin #JonSumrall #SEC #CollegeFootball #TheSwamp #NIL #StadiumAndGale
