As humans there are natural levels of believing that take place in our lives. Whether we have been raised in the faith or we are a convert, there will always be a level of doubt involved. St. Thomas exhibited this doubt in a healthy way that we can all learn from; when once he had seen the risen Lord, he went on to become a martyr preaching the Gospel.
