This first hour of Stan Norfleet was all about our Atlanta United 5 Stripes. Jason Longshore joined Stan to talk about the 1-1 draw between Atlanta and Portland. Stan also touched on the Hawks and what veterans need to be on this team.

Atlanta sports teams have a bevy of young talent. Rather it be Barco on Atlanta United or Acuna on the Braves or Ridley for the Falcons, Atlanta teams rookies look promising. Now lets look at the new talent that will be coming to Phillips Arena, namely Trae Young. Stan asked the question; out of the new talent that we have yet to see in from the Hawks and Falcons, which teams' new young stars need to make the most impact? The way that Stan looks at it, the Falcons are a Super Bowl ready roster that needed to fill some holes. The Hawks need a major facelift. With that being said, the Hawks rookies have to make more of an impact that the Falcons cast of rookies. Not a lot is going to be asked of the rookies at Flowery Branch but that will not be the same for the Hawks rookies.

For the last hour of the show, Stan started off by talking Atlanta United with Jarrett Smith. After their lost to Chicago Fire at home, Atlanta United look to bounce back against the Portland Timbers. This will not be easy but a fun match according to Jarrett. Stan also reset the deck to talk about Trae Young and got some reaction from the fans. Hot moms in sports was also a topic of discussion for Stan in his final hour tonight.

Fit is often overlooked in the NBA. We know in the NBA, a team's fate can change with one transformative player. Sometimes, fit is more important than drafting the best athlete. Stan says that this draft, Travis Schlenk went after the players that fit with the current talent on the Atlanta Hawks. This year's draft picks of the Atlanta Hawks, as we probably already know, are Trae Young of Oklahoma; Kevin Huerter from Maryland; and Omari Spellman of the NCAA champions Villanova. What all of these guys have in common is that they can shoot, and shoot well. There are already athletes on this roster with Collins and Prince. Now there are skilled players and shooters that surround this young core. Time will tell if this works.

Stan opened up the 8'oclock hour talking about Trae Young and his comments. Trae Young has said that he will win a championship and multiple MVPs. Stan asked the question to see if these comments were arrohant or confident. The phone lines were lit all hour.
