How can Christians pass on a Biblical worldview to the next generation?
There are kids that went to Christian schools or home school and still did not turn out as godly people and kids who went to public schools and turned out godly in spite of the information they were taught. What can parents do to help their kids? Why is it important to spend quality time with our kids?
Researcher George Barna and many other researchers point out that our worldview is mostly established from about 18 months old to about 12 years old. Just think in the life of a normal child going to public schools, this means that by the time they get to middle school their worldview has been hugely impacted by what they’ve learned in the public schools. What can parents, family, churches, etc. do to counter the propaganda that is taught in curriculums?
The public-school curriculum is by default secular and humanistic. This has not always been the case. When did we start to see the dramatic shift in thinking about our schools where God was “thrown out of school?”
What are some of the results we have seen? What are some of the things we can expect to see if things don’t change?
Is humanism a religion?
Is there such thing as a neutral classroom?
