VISION is currently stated in the tenets of Intentional Optimism as: I courageously look to the vision I've been given to meet others' needs and add value, inspiring those around me.  In today’s episode, I share my renewed insights about having a vision, and how you can create YOUR own vision in life or business, and why it’s vital to your flourishing.

1. Discovering your vision takes courage
2. Participating in a vision board workshop opened me up to new ideas and possibilities
3. A vision gives us something to look forward to and work towards

How to find and create your vision?

1. What: Plan the future with imagination and wisdom
2. Why: To find your “why,” ask yourself - do you day dream?  If not, prime that pump.
3. How: See your destination and then plan how to get there

Two and a half years after my very first post on “Being Present,” I’ve learned a few things. Practicing Presence is not yet something I’ve mastered, and based on what I see out there, we all need a refresher. So here are my takeaways.

Three Insights on “Being Present”: 

1. Everyone’s Present is unique. 
2. Without curiosity, you’ll never get “there.”
3. If being “present” doesn’t produce kindness in you, then you’re doing it wrong.

So what should we do?

1. Unique: One size doesn’t fit all. Do your own work.  
2. Curiosity: Get curious about you. When you don’t like something, ask “why?” and wait…
3. Kindness: It’s the byproduct of presence.

Living with Intentional Optimism is not about always being sunny and happy. It’s about embracing life with all its ups and downs. Loss of a loved one, specifically a mother, is definitely a hard part of the journey, but learning how to grow through it all is part of what gives it purpose and meaning. Andrea & Kim have both lost their mothers to cancer, and this conversation is about the growing, the learning, and the legacy we can all leave behind.

Former drag car racer, Michelle Eberhard was the youngest women executive leader in the tech world at 22.  Michelle’s journey has always focused on her fears to continuously push her boundaries and as a serial entrepreneur founded the Fear Battle Series.  Finding a ‘fun’ way to look at business she ‘gamified’ the process of starting a business.  Currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Ultimate Business Quest the goal is to support entrepreneurs at each level of their business.  She believes each business and person needs to understand their "why". Implementing internal awareness and putting drive, passion, and knowledge into action. Planning will only get you so far if you do not overcome your fear of failure or success.
