Pitch, work or school presentation, workshop or keynote, the impact all depends on the power of the story you tell.
But building an inspiring story can take a lot of time: how to start, how to end, how not to lose track of your message under pressure.
A good story structure will help you with all of that and it's only 4 elements you have to take into account:
1. Relate
2. Offer
3. Explain
4. Achieve
Master this storyline and you will turn your message into a great story in under 20 minutes.

Brain Farley has been in baseball his whole life. First as a player with one of the quickest fast balls of his time, then coaching the Dutch national team to a world championship victory in 2011, becoming sport coach of the year.
After numerous years working in multinational companies, applying what he learned on the field in the boardroom, he started his own business and is now a frequently asked and passionate keynote speaker and leadership coach.
In this episode of the Stand Up podcast I pick his brain on leadership, team culture and peak performance and got overwhelmed with insight. A must watch, also available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

The host, the MC (master of ceremony) is not a monkey that reads names from a card. A host is the glue of an event, bringing everyone and everything together. The narrator of the story that is the event. Making sure all the speakers get a warm and energetic audience, tailored to their speech and the organizer has nothing to worry about and can sit back relax and see all the hard work and budget come together in an insightful and entertaining show.
As an event organizer, don't go easy over the selection of the host for your event and as an aspiring host, know you have an important role to play. Pick up that role and rock your stage!

Busy is the new sexy. Everybody is super busy, but at the same time a lot of people are getting nowhere in life and are miserable or burnout. Just like I did years ago.
But how come some people run marathons, build businesses, travel and others have the same 24 hours, but can't even manage the to-do list at work? We all have the same amount of time in a day, how you deal with that time and with what mindset you start, will decide how much you get out of it and still be able to get your 8 hours of sleep ;)
The 3 tips in this podcast, changed my perception on time management and changed my life and business.
Hope it helps!
There are many definitions on what good leadership is and what defines a strong leader, but I was most inspired by how author Sam Walker described it after his extensive research within sport teams in his bestselling book 'The Captain Class'.
You don't have to agree, but Michael Jordan, Lionel Messi are stars, because others make that possible by being the glue of the team.

In this episode I share with you the story of the sawmill employee and his box of sawdust and how it stands for us being too busy to actually do our jobs. Let's turn that around and save time to perform better as leaders.
As a leader it isn't always easy to keep focus on the things that actually matter in the everyday chaos of work and life. It's a normal reaction to become so occupied and adopt tunnel vision that the mass of details becomes blinding. As a leader you can only plan, offer guidance to your team and carry the water if you give yourself space to think, reflect and act upon the right things.
