Fear has a way of convincing us that we’re alone — that our future is uncertain, our past is catching up to us, and the darkness ahead is too much to face. But Psalm 23 offers a different vision: a Shepherd who goes before us, walks beside us, and pursues us with goodness and mercy. Rather than denying the realities that frighten us, it points us to the presence of Christ in the midst of them.
