  • Interview with Gary DeMar
On this special episode of Standing Firm, Pastor James Brown Jr will interview Gary DeMar. Gary is an author, lecturer and former president of American Vision. He has written over 30 books and appeared on numerous radio and TV programs.
James and Gary will be discussing the 2016 Presidential election from a Biblical worldview. This election has been the most heated and debated among conservative Christians in our lifetime. There is a lot of anger, frustration and confusion but we will try to make sense of it all with the Bible as our guide.
Should Christians vote for a third party candidate? What is the cause of this political nightmare? What are the issues? What is at stake? How should Christians utilize their vote most effectively in order to restrain sin and advance the light of Jesus Christ? These questions and more will be discussed and answered so that we might be equipped to engage this culture for Christ.
Don't miss this very important program on November 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. This program will be availble on demand after the conclusion of the live broadcast.

  • Special Election Episode: Making America Deflate in Sin - Part 1
The 2016 Presidential election is one of the most hotly debated and contested elections among Christians. We all know what is at stake. A Hillary Clinton presidency would subject us to decades of ruin from which we may never recover. But then there is Donald Trump as the only alternative who has a chance of winning. Should Christians ever use strategic incrementalism to stop the worst of the evil and give ourselves a chance to rebuild. In this episode of Standing Firm we begin to consider our options and how we can move forward.

  • Ecclesiastical Reformation - Part 2
This week we will continue our discussion on Ecclesiastical Reformation by discovering what the Reformers believed concerning the marks and true identity of the Church. We will only be able to advance the Church when we rediscover the Church according to the Bible.
Societies become apostate due to the absence of the true Church, which is the pillar and ground of the truth. Truth is fallen in the streets because the American Church is apostate. If America is ever to be restored, the true Church must first be restored because it is the only agency capable of restoring the family and civil society.
Tune in this Friday, October 14th, 2016 at 12 pm eastern time as Pastor James Brown Jr address this important subject.

  • Ecclesiastical Reformation
Covenant Commission's Standing Firm Podcast is returning to regular programming by confronting the anti-ecclesiastical fervor that is sweeping American Christianity. We must hold our ground on Reformed ecclesiology lest the foundations are destroyed to the point there is nothing to reform. These first few podcasts will be extremely controversial, but if you love Christ's Holy Church it is essential that we confront these heresies and contend for the true Church of Jesus Christ.
In this episode, we discuss the generational decline and increasing hostility toward the Church. The only way we will ever be set free is through the truth and Christ's Church is the pillar and ground of the truth.
Where the true Church exists, we must return; where it is absent, we must rebuild. Join us in this quest to restore Christ's Church and to become part of the effort to rebuild Christendom. Tune in this Friday at 12:00 pm (noon) eastern standard time as Pastor James Brown Jr. begins to address the growing anti-Church hostility.

  • We Will Not Comply
In 2016 the Indiana GOP super majority has proposed Senate Bill 100 in an attempt to expand civil rights protections for LGBT behaviors, which would allow men identifying themselves as women to have access to women's bathrooms, showers and locker rooms.  Reformed Church of the Holy Trinity and Covenant Commission ademately opposes any legislation that would protect perverse behavior of any kind.  In this podcast, Pastor James Brown Jr. calls upon the Indiana GOP leadership to repent of their cowardice and govern Biblically and constitutionally.

  • Fellow Workers for the Truth
The Psalmist asked in Psalm 11:3, ""If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"  The Psalmist does not answer this question as it is meant to stimulate meditation in the context of trusting in the Lord.  This question is urgent as we see the foundations of our society crumbling all around us.
There have been and continue to be many calls to this action or another.  But what are we to do in this present crisis?  We have put a lot of thought into this very issue.  Our years of ministry have been pursuing this very answer.  In this episode of Standing Firm, we will discuss this topic in the context of our ministry here in central Indiana.
What can the righteous do?  Find out is Friday, on August 14, 2015 at 12:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.  If you cannot listen to this program live, you can listen to the archived program on-demand.

  • Soldiers of Jesus Christ
“Endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” —2 Timothy 2:3-4

  • Interview with Dr. John Snyder
Pastor James Brown Jr. will be interviewing Dr. John Snyder to discuss the upcoming RP15 Conference and also the importance and impact of the 18th Century Church, both historically and today.  Faithful men of the past give us insight and example for faith and practice.  We have foolishly abandoned the historical example and then complain about liberal revisionism.  As they say, "if you do not use it, you will lose it."  Join us this Friday, July 24th, 2015, as we revisit the past in order to develop a Biblical worldview for today.
Dr. John Snyder and his wife, Misty, have been married since 1992 and have three children.  He received his education at Blue Mountain College (B.A.), Reformed Theological Seminary and Mid-America Baptist Theological Semminary (M.Div.), and the University of Wales (Ph.D.). He has served as pastor at Christ Church since the founding of the church in March, 2000.

  • Responding to Caesar
How are Christians and the Church to respond to SCOTUS, POTUS and the rest of society?  The Bible contains the answer and the First Century Church provides the answer.  The problem is that we do not know what to do but neglect to do our duty.  What we are really looking for is an excuse to continue our apathetic irresponsibility.  This is true in our relationship to God, our Church, our spouses, children and society.  Our cry for counseling, encouragement, new information, ideas and so on is really abdication. Most of our problems really boil down to basic answers and such is the case with the profanation of marriage ruling by the Supreme Court. The answer is simple: confidence from the Gospel, commitment to the Gospel and consecration within the Gospel.
Join us Friday, July 10th at 12:00 pm (noon) eastern time as we proclaim the power of God unto salvation.

  • Let Us Reason Together
America is collapsing right before our eyes.  She has never been perfect but there is a night and day difference from what she was to what she has become.  Our fall continues to escalate every day and we are now at the breaking point.
Then, to top it off, last week a psychotic lone gunman entered a historic black church and killed nine people who were peacefully gathered for Bible study.  While the gunman is an obvious psychopath, it has set off a chain of events that continues to push us toward civil unrest.
During a time when we ought to be mourning the tragic and murderous deaths of nine of our countrymen, we are engaged in political discourse hoping to slow down the efforts of those who desire to put the final nail in the coffin.
Although it is argued that we should back off from engaging in the cultural battles that have erupted, we really have no choice but to respond to the offensive attacks against our religious and civil liberties.  We are against the ropes and it appears we are going down for the count.
Yet, it does not have to be this way.  Instead of allowing our enemies to tear us apart, it is time to come together.  If this is ever to happen, it can only begin if we are all willing to confess and turn from our sins with a willingness to engage in open discussion so that we might be unified in the faith and against those who seek to destroy the people of God.
In this episode of Standing Firm, we will begin this conversation within the context of the Reformed church.  It is our hope that others will join us so that we might unite in truth and go forth united in truth to advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Standing Firm is a ministry of Covenant Commission under the direction of Reformed Church of the Holy Trinity.
