AWESOME conversation with my old high school coach, Mike Mach of Detroit Catholic Central.  We talk about missing football this fall at both the high school and college level in the state of Michigan, the state of MSU, and we fly around the country and give you some story lines for the college football season that will still be happening with the ACC, Big 12, and SEC.

It's a long episode, so you can listen to it in halves, the 1st half is talking local football, high school and MSU, the 2nd half is a national look at the 2020 season.

I really hope you enjoy this conversation we had a blast!

With the commitment of 4 star OL Geno VanDeMark on Saturday evening, I wanted to take a look at where our class stands going into late August.

I watched the tape of all 13 commits and talk about the strengths I saw, how they project to MSU, and what they bring to the table for the program.  We also take a look at the remaining targets as Mel Tucker and the staff try to fill out a full class.

Scott and I go through each position group and discuss the 1 thing we were looking forward to highlighting in 2020 (and will now be looking forward to in 2021)

We also talk about our newest commitment Alex Okelo, and have a tough fan question to start it off.

While I was out on vacation nothing really happened.. except for a new Big Ten conference only schedule being released, an MSU pre-season roster being released, updated information about future practices, rumors of AD meetings around the country, etc..

We get to all of that and more in today's packed episode

Monday we looked at the single season and career offensive records at MSU and which ones are likely to fall, today we tackle the defense.  We look at Tackles, TFL, Sacks, INTs, as well as FF, FR, and some special teams numbers as well.

Brian Lewerke broke the single season total offense record in 2019 on an offense that was.... not great.  Which got me thinking, which MSU records (single season and career) are likely to fall in the next 20-25 years?

We go through passing yards, TDs, attempts, and completion %.  Rushing yards, TDs, and attempts.  Receiving yards and TDs, as well as total offense and all-purpose yards, and ask on a scale from 1-10 how confident I am that the record will fall.

Sat down with Corey Robinson, a reporter for SpartanMag.com (Rivals) covering MSU, and specifically MSU recruiting. We talked about Mel’s recruiting trends and philosophies, how COVID has impacted his 1st class, specific 2021 targets to keep an eye on (with some predictions), and much much more!

I was at a wedding over the weekend so I recorded this pod early, but we dug through the Athlon and Pick 6 Preview magazines and what they had to say about MSU.  Some fascinating stats, anonymous coach quotes, projected depth charts, etc.
