In 1950's Las Vegas, the most powerful newspaper owner in the city went on trial for publishing an editorial that Federal Prosecutors alleged was intended to incite the assassination of an extremely controversial U.S. Senator.

The resulting court case was a national sensation, involving intrigue at the highest levels of the government and a concerted effort to defeat the destructive political involvement in the ruthless pursuit of "the Red Menace".
