This week's Stang Gang Podcast features the latest news surrounding Midwestern State Volleyball with head coach Stephanie Radecki. 

Midwestern State volleyball continues to turn heads with its impressive play through 10 matches. The Mustangs are 8-2 with a five-match winning streak and won its first two conference games at D.L. Ligon Coliseum last weekend with straight-set wins over Western New Mexico and Sul Ross State.

Alayna Guerrero logged a double-double with 28 assists and 14 digs in the win over WNMU, and she had 37 assists in the sweep of Sul Ross State. Jaiden Wright hit .571 for the Mustangs on Friday night. Trinity Vinzant led the MSU attack against Sul Ross State with 15 kills and a service ace.

The Mustangs are traveling to Austin and San Antonio this weekend to face St. Edward’s and St. Mary’s before a showdown with West Texas A&M at “The Box” on Oct. 7.

Midwestern State has won three of its last four meetings with St. Edward’s, including a 3-0 victory at home last season. The Mustang also swept St. Mary’s last year, snapping a five-match losing streak in the series.
