Midwestern State opened the 2025-26 campaign with a resounding 82-33 victory over UNT-Dallas at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. Junior guard Ta'Leeyah Glynn, who matriculated at Clarendon, scored 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting in her Midwestern State debut. Kerbie Cash started her sophomore campaign with 12 rebounds and five rebounds against the Trailblazers but was assessed a flagrant 2 foul in the third quarter. Senior guard Veonce Powell, a transfer from Missouri Southern, finished with 10 points and five assists for the Mustangs, who shot 41 percent from the field and outrebounded UNT-Dallas, 45-37.
The Mustangs are on the road Thursday evening for a clash with Central Oklahoma at Hamilton Fieldhouse in Edmond, Oklahoma. The Bronchos opened their season with losses at home to Southwest Minnesota State and St. Cloud State in the Central Region Challenge.
