Star Trek Resignation

With Discovery fading into the past, and flying into the future, we ask important questions such as: What kind of drug is each Star Trek series, and what was it like to binge all of Season 2 of Star Trek Discovery within a convenient trial size period of time?

Wade is once again joined by two guest companions. This time it's journalist Ryan Britt (@ryancbritt on twitter), and an entirely new voice to Disco Home Season 2, Adam P. Newton (@dryvetyme).

Wade sat down with two companions, Kristin from Toronto and Arthur (also known as BuckyWTGoodHair on twitter) to get their opinions now that we've been a week without Star Trek Discovery. What did we like about Season 2, what did we dislike, and what are we looking forward to in Season 3.

We got emotional watching this episode. And not all of it was anger! We talk a bit about things we like, so be cool everybody. But then… we talk about some of the things we weren't as keen on. Great action, but what about the story of this season?

Wade, Glen, and Sean are along for this one, but keep looking at the feed to hear from more of our companions for this season.

Oh, and check out this Den of Geek article Wade steals all his references from: https://www.denofgeek.com/us/tv/star-trek-discovery/280608/star-trek-discovery-season-2-episode-14-easter-eggs-references

The end game approaches! In the meantime not much happens, but actually more happens than you could arguably fit into an hour, or fifty seven minutes. We kvetch because we care!

Sean Perrotta is back to detail what he felt he missed in the past two episodes. Glen Hall gives a synopsis. Wade Bowen is here too. Go figure.

Time crystals, y'all. Time Crystals. Lots happened in this episode, or did it? Where did the time go? Pike visits a Klingon to get a rock, Michael gets shot at, and Stamets and Culber get talked to. Could last week's next-on have jumped straight past into this week's?

It's a full pod with plenty of opinions from Glen Hall, and extra guests Lane Bowen, Benny Scheckner, Courtney Bowen, and also a rather quiet baby.

Wade sat down with regular Kicker of Elves Hugh Crawford to try and explain Season Two of Star Trek Discovery to someone who hasn't watched it.

How'd he get in that chair?

Good emotional work. Yet…

We yell a lot.

Spock has read Infinite Jest at least 3 times.

The identity of the red angel is revealed! And then some. What is the best way to catch a time traveler who might have pertinant information at its disposal?

Sean is back. Where was he last week and what is going on with Star Trek Discovery?

The streak is broken and Wade wasn't as big a fan of this episode.

Can Glen do a "short" synopsis? All questions will be answered!

The streak of episodes we like continues. A background character gets some background for once and hey they pull off things in this episode of Star Trek: Discovery that S1 did not manage quite so well.

Wade is joined by Glen Hall again, but no Sean Perrotta. Lane Bowen does make a return, but without his wife or infant this time around.

Pike's imaginary girlfriend shows up and a deep, dark, unforgivable and totally life altering secret shame that Michael Burnham has been hiding for years, comes to light. [Totally not a rote typical sibling interaction]

Only two companions, Glen and Sean, join Wade this week. But we're... close. Too close? If you're still listening after two minutes, Glen baits the hook for an incredible, life affirming joke he's saving for the end of the pod.

OH Canon. We talk a lot on canon.

All the secrets revealed and how things could have been different [hint: sex].

Do we have any new updates on our Angel predictions?
