In this episode of the IJGC podcast, Editor-in-Chief Dr. Pedro Ramirez, is joined by Dr. Ji-Hong Liu to discuss the STAR Trial. Dr. Liu is a Professor in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. He is also President-elect of the Gynecologic Oncology Committee of China Anti-Cancer Association.

Highlights:

- In post-surgery treatment setting, adjuvant sequential chemoradiation was associated with improved disease-free survival compared with radiation alone or concurrent chemoradiation, and was well tolerated.

- Sequential chemoradiation also decreased the risk of death compared with radiation alone.

- Neither disease-free survival nor cancer death risk was different between patients treated with concurrent chemoradiation or radiation alone.

- The detailed QOL results in comparisons between three arms will be orally presented at the annual meeting of SGO 2021 in March.
