Star Wars 7x7: A Daily Bite-Sized Dose of Star Wars Joy

George Lucas isn't wrong - the Boba Fett cartoon, "The Story of the Faithful Wookiee," really is the (unironically) best part of the Star Wars Holiday Special. The rest probably deserves Lucas's proposed hammer treatment. Punch it!

If the first quarter of the Star Wars Holiday Special was the "boring" part, the second quarter is the "awkward" part, without question. But it's good for a laugh or three, to be sure... Punch it!

HAPPY LIFE DAY!!! I don't remember watching the Star Wars Holiday Special as a kid (I know I did, I just don't remember it) - but I do have a record of the first time I re-watched it as an adult... Punch it!

For all of my disclosures and disclaimers (I'm not a "Thrawn as protagonist/hero" fan, I much prefer him as the villain), Star Wars: Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil is a satisfying trilogy conclusion, sets up the "original" trilogy quite nicely (with a twist!) and is one of the most enjoyable Thrawn reads of the new canon. Punch it!

Continuing to explore Boba Fett's canon story appearances! He doesn't have much more than a cameo in "Deception," but we learn a thing or two about his post-arrest fate, and the episode itself is filled with wild moments. Punch it!

"The Levers of Power" by Jason Fry has the dual joys of filling a gap in Admiral Rae Sloane's history and giving us a new view on the Battle of Endor, but also feels a little out of place in the "Rise of the Empire" bind-up. Punch it!

No new news about The Book of Boba Fett in "Under the Helmet," but some wonderful emotional behind-the-scenes footage, and tributes to the power of creative collaborations and limitations. Punch it!

The brief whack-a-mole of a Kenobi sizzle reel, but more a summing up of our discussions over the past few episodes about crime syndicates in the galaxy far, far away. Punch it!

The Book of Boba Fett and Galactic Starcruiser were named-checked at yesterday's Disney's earnings webcast. They also shared notable details about Disney+'s programming future and gave the first mention of a Disney "Metaverse." Punch it!

Saving a big one for last! We're looking at the history of Crimson Dawn. And while we're at it, we're looking at Qi'ra's history as well, projecting forward to The Book of Boba Fett, and exploring a surprising Rise of Skywalker connection as well. Punch it!
