Star Wars 7x7: A Daily Bite-Sized Dose of Star Wars Joy

Our last summary of the major takeaways from Star Wars: Last Shot concludes with the high points from the "Now" timeframe of the novel, more than two years after the events of the Aftermath Trilogy. This includes Ben Solo nearly getting killed by a culinary droid (really), and Han and Lando making some very adult strides in their most intimate relationships. Punch it!

Okay, NOW we get to Han Solo's part in this whole crazy "Last Shot" affair, and it involves the mysterious Sana Starros, she of the "marriage" to Han from her introduction via the Marvel Comics a few years ago. And things only get more complicated as a result... Punch it!

Before we get to Han Solo's involvement in this whole droid apocalypse scenario, we have to examine an interlude in Star Wars: Last Shot that also, as it happens, helps to bring into stark relief a potential continuity issue with the timeframes of the stories within Last Shot. Or, is it that we're in an "unreliable narrator" situation? Punch it!

Fyzen Gor swore revenge on the galaxy in 13BBY, in Daniel José Older's novel Last Shot. Three years later, he was well on his way to making it a reality. Meanwhile, L3-37 knew exactly what Gor was up to - and was planning to stop him! How is getting uploaded into the Millennium Falcon's central computer going to affect her plans, and his? Punch it!

How did Lando and Han get into so much trouble in Daniel José Older's "Last Shot"? Well, it all started about twenty years ago - 13BBY, more precisely - when a promising young Pau'an medical student's bad day sowed the seeds of an apocalyptic vision. Punch it!

In its 15th weekend of release, Solo: A Star Wars Story is still in 90 movie theaters in the US, but for all intents and purposes it's reached the end of its theatrical run. And considering that Solo's home release is coming in a few short days, this will be the last "Scoundrel Business" report on the box office totals, and our projections for where it will land on the charts for 2018. Punch it!

Here we are in the month of September, and this will be the first time in four years that we don't have a Force Friday event to look forward to. Yes, they called it "Rogue Friday" in 2016, but it was the same thing, of course. And that got me thinking about the fact that we'll never have a Force Friday event at Toys 'R' Us ever again... Punch it!

A new behind-the-scenes featurette for Star Wars Resistance was released earlier this week, and if you look carefully, you'll get to see some very interesting surprises. Like, General Leia Organa, Kylo Ren's shuttle, and a character who *could* be Cardinal from the Phasma novel, but might in fact be his replacement. Punch it!

Tomorrow marks the one-month anniversary of the start of filming for Episode IX, and they've already started filming on location! Not exotically, but still... Also, casting news, and nuggets from interviews given by Domhnall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac. Punch it!

In our last look at excerpts from Solo: A Star Wars Story Expanded Edition (the novelization of the movie), we get more clarity on the link between the leader of the Cloud-Riders, Enfys Nest, and the leader of the Partisans, Saw Gerrera. There's also a surprise appearance of another young and rebellious female... Punch it!
