of Obi-Wan Kenobi. SPOILER ALERT We really get to see Hayden Christensen

shine as Vader. For a lot of Star Wars fans, that's a statement no one

expected to hear or read. However, with the release of the latest

trilogy (VII, VIII, & IX), many of the prequel "apologists" are

looking at the rest of the community with their "I told you so" face.

When I saw The Phantom Menace for the first time, of course, I loved it.

Jar Jar didn't bother me the way he bothered everyone else. Now, of

course, I realize that Lucas's blank check from Fox and carte blanche

approach to the dialogue and story, all the while surrounded by "yes

men," would produce the results on screen.

The poor dialogue continued in Attack of the Clones but not so much in

Revenge of the Sith. By far the best of the prequels.

you're probably more into the galaxy far, far away than sports. This

past Sunday, AJ, my brother, and I got together to re-watch Part Four of

Obi-Wan Kenobi.

All I can say is, for everything the show does well, it's held back by

some awful dialogue. Moses Ingram is trying really hard, and in

researching for this episode, I discovered she was in Queen's Gambit as

Jolene, Beth Harmon's childhood friend from the orphanage! I had no

idea.

The show is getting better, but the sum of the parts is not equal to the

sum of the whole. Shoutout to Joe Vargas from The Angry Joe Show and

his Angry Review of Part Four—I laughed so hard at the thumbnail for his

review on YouTube.

The three of us agree: the show looks and sounds great. The visual

effects, music, cinematography, and more are fantastic. However, they

can't make up for a weak script and story. Here's hoping for a better

Part Five!

Part 3 of Obi-Wan Kenobi. We have a special guest, my friend Tyler, who,

like Sydney, first saw the Prequel Trilogy before watching the

originals. We also call my brother and co-host Mike to get his thoughts

and feelings on the episode. I will say this: the series is picking up

pace. The first two episodes were tough to watch, but Part 3 is

definitely better. Of course, it has its flaws, but it's showing signs

of gaining momentum. Here's hoping for Part 4!
