THEORY THURSDAY - Today we open up the Jedi archives and look into the separation within the Jedi known as The First Great Schism. The First Great Schism chronicles the divide within the Jedi over the Force and how it should be interpreted. The rules of the Jedi refuse the study of the mysterious and darker parts of the Force. A separatist group of the Jedi believe these areas of the Force should be studied and they should have the freedom to do so. This separatist group would eventually be known as the Sith. WHAT IF WEDNESDAY - Today we are going to explore the scene when Palpatine reveals he is a Sith Lord. The normal timeline has Anakin going back to Mace Windu and reporting what he has learned. Anakin was at a tipping point in Revenge of the Sith and could have made an erratic decision at any moment. What if Anakin stopped Palpatine himself instead of going to Mace Windu? What if Anakin’s erratic reaction was to cut the head off the snake before being manipulated by it? What if Anakin killed Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith instead of joining him?

In The Empire Strikes Back, as Luke jets off to save his friends, we are left with Yoda and Obi-Wan as a Force ghost watching with great concern. Obi-wan says: “That boy is our last hope.” Yoda responds: “No, there is another.” We find out in Return of the Jedi that “another” is Leia. Why didn’t Obi-Wan train Leia as well as Luke? Why does it seem like Obi-Wan has forgotten about her? Considering that all the Jedi have been eradicated except for Luke, it stands to reason that Leia would have been very important. She could have been another option besides Luke or even a second weapon against the Dark Side. Today we are bringing to life a transcript of George Lucas explaining Obi-Wan in this scene. Hopefully it will shed some light on Obi-Wan and his motivations towards Leia.

COMIC BOOK TUESDAY - We continue along with the Darth Vader 2020 comic series written by Greg Pack. This series follows Darth Vader after The Empire Strikes Back. It covers Vader’s events leading up to The Return of the Jedi. Today we open up Issue #10. We left Vader, at the end of last issue, using the Wayfinder to finally discover Exegol. Vader makes the arduous journey through hyperspace only to find Exegol be guarded by a Giant Cyclops Octopus Squid with enormous teeth. Vader must fight this gigantic creature to make it to Exegol. Let’s find out what happens with next as we open up Issue #10.
