Finding that balance between home and work, family and friends, and keeping yourself grounded. There are so many aspects to our work- the home-work starts when the kids wake up and ends when they go to bed. The career-work happens in between, and finding the time and space to take care of everything can be a challenge.

All the joys and terrors of traveling with a toddler... from the airplane mini-meltdown, to the the ever-present food strikes... we experienced it all on our recent airplane travel to our old stomping grounds in Austin.

From misheard song lyrics, to profound pronouncements, to an abundance of silly sounds around the house... these are the things that are keeping us in the giggles these days.

Throwing all shapes and kinds of spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks... or doesn't in the world of toddler moments. Meltdowns in the bathroom, at nap time, and pretty much anytime- and how we are learning to handle things better, with time. We've got to go with the flow.... and let it go!

A sweet and heart-warming chat with one of my Mom Tribe and long-time friends, Julie Kirkpatrick. Reminiscing about the good old days from trying to conceive, to when our babies were newborns... and all the way up the present, as Julie's oldest is now about to turn eight years old and her youngest, at 17 months, is ready to be just like his big sis.

From the mouths of babes... what silly and strange things can emerge in this phase of childhood! Anything from how our bodies work, to dancing, to a new era of play-pretend, the three-year old wants to know it all.
