Fi: Suomen kevät on kaunis, mutta arvaamaton.
En: Spring in Suomi is beautiful but unpredictable.
Fi: Iltatuuli puhalsi viileästi Veikon ja Maijan kasvoille, kun he astuivat ulos autosta.
En: The evening wind blew coolly on Veikko and Maija's faces as they stepped out of the car.
Fi: Heidän edessään oli viihtyisä mökki järven rannalla.
En: In front of them was a cozy cabin by the lake.
Fi: Kevään ensimmäiset päivät olivat täällä, mutta maa oli vielä luminen ja järvi osin jäässä.
En: The first days of spring were here, but the ground was still snowy, and the lake was partially frozen.
Fi: Veikko oli innoissaan.
En: Veikko was excited.
Fi: Hän halusi, että Maija rakastuisi tähän paikkaan yhtä paljon kuin hän itse.

Fi: He astuivat ulos mökistä ja alkoivat kerätä puita lähimetsästä.
En: They stepped out of the cabin and started gathering wood from the nearby forest.
Fi: Pian nuotio loimusi iloisesti järvenrantamaisemassa.
En: Soon the campfire was happily blazing with the lakeside view.
Fi: Veikko kaatoi termospullosta lämmintä kaakaota kahteen mukiin.
En: Veikko poured warm cocoa from a thermos into two cups.
Fi: "Tämä menee suunnitelman B mukaan," hän sanoi nauraen ja antoi toisen mukin Maijalle.
En: "This is plan B," he said, laughing, and handed the other cup to Maija.
Fi: Maija otti mukin ja katsoi taivaalle.
En: Maija took the cup and looked at the sky.

En: "Look at the stars!
