StART Making Sense with SWD

Our first ever LIVE episode!! Recorder at the 2026 Reignite Tec conference at camp Olympia in Huntsville, Ontario.

I had a chance to sit sown with the incredible J Joly. He has spent the majority of his life in the Film/television/music industry. This has lead to him being an innovator and visionary within it. He's also just one hell of a guy.

Please take a listen to this fun and informative fella!!

Simply put, Ryan Burwell is the person that EVERY community needs. Hell, I would go as far as to say that EVERY PERSON needs in their life. Ryan is engaged with every person and situation in which he is presented with. This has created an individual that has an understanding of how the world works on a level that you don't see to often. You should take the time and listen to this episode to get a point of view and approach to life from a person that knows his sh*t, but would never admit it. Enjoy.

Jamie Taylor is the musician that EVERYONE wants to work with, and around Ontario, EVERYONE does!! He can play anything, gets everything and gets along with everyone. And he's an Expo's fan to boot!! Sit back and pick up some cool info in this chill interview.

Leland is one of the greatest all-around musicians I know. His deep dives into ANY band is absolutely incredible, and should be studied for generations to come. His quest for knowledge on bands creates an understanding of music that can only result in a musicianship know by like minds....and he's been doing that since his youth. Sit back, get jealous and enjoy that jealousy.

Have you ever met someone that the minute you started talking to them, you realized that they were the coolest, most independent thinker that you ever encountered? Not only that, but they weren't doing it for show, or an 'angle', that's just who they are naturally. AND to top it off....you feel like you were let in on a secret because the masses hadn't found them yet?

That was how I felt when I first met Miranda.

And what is even better, is that with each encounter I've had with her since our first, my amazement and appreciation for who she is and what she brings to the world has only grown. I realized that her voice needed to be heard on a larger scale, and if I could help that, then I should in any way that I can.

So, just sit back, get comfortable, and take in all that Miranda, the coolest secret around, talks about her incredible approach towards life.

This interview is a great story of what hard work, determination and rolling with the punches can get you. Chris has been a founder and co-founder of MANY endeavors, including StART Making Sense. He brings great passion and knowledge to everything he takes on, so do yourself a favour and listen to this episode and hope some of that will rub off on you.

Gary is a man of MANY, MANY talents, and ironically enough, good at spotting and promoting talent as well. Even though he's only been in the promotion business for just shy of 2 years, you would swear he's done it his whole life. That's because he's done a lifetime's work in those 2 years. Sit back and take a listen to a man who is completely driven by passion.

All Simcoe artists (of any sort) should bow down at the alter of Ian Church (ward). The man is not a myth, but yes...a legend. He has been here since the beginning, and will probably be here at the end. Just listen and find out!!

Luigi has been a friend of mine for 30 years. For those 30 years, I have not seen a human more dedicated to the promotion of music. Come Hell or high water, his show (and payment to the artists) were going to happen. I'm not only honored to have him as a guest on this podcast, I'm more honored to be able to call him a friend. For those that think that putting on shows is easy as booking a place and asking a couple of people to play....listen to this episode and get the education that you need.

Enjoy,

SWD

If you are ANY type of artist, you NEED to listen to this interview. Sadko has an understanding of Art as a whole like no other. I could type a million words in this description and it STILL, WOULD NOT do him justice. Stop reading and just listen!!!
