Feeling fulfilled, making a positive impact, and serving the public—those are the main motivations that draw people to a career in intergovernmental organizations. It’s the chance to contribute to the public good and make a difference in others’ lives. But how easy is it to navigate this job market? What does it take to break into reputable institutions like the European Parliament or the UN? And how can you increase your chances of success?  

We discussed these questions with Marc Passola, researcher at the Center for the Study of the Presidency & Congress in Washington and a final-year student in the Bachelor in Global Governance, Economics, and Legal Order at Esade.
