She was almost invisible. In the large convoy of people and troops that accompanied the great military leader, she had a minor role. Yet when she saw that her master was about to make a big mistake, she stepped forward and spoke the wise words that he needed to hear.

One would think that surviving the sinking of an ocean liner would make anyone very uncomfortable with the thought of another trans Atlantic voyage. But not Violet Jessop. She was nicknamed Miss Unsinkable because over a period of 6 years she served as a stewardess White Star Line of ships. Over the next few years survived a mid-ocean collison of two large ships as well as the sinking of two ocean liners. These disasters never deterred her from working on the ships and after every incident she returned to work on them.
Today we look at her story and how God often works to protect us when we don't even know it.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, was a pastor, preacher and theologian. He believed strongly in the Grace of God and he was willing to fight for what he believed. During World War 2 he was a double agent working for the Allies. He was involved in a plot to eliminate Hitler. He smuggled Jews out of Europe. He lived an amazing life of conviction and action but his greatest accomplishments were not as an agent, but as a man committed to Jesus Christ and his book, The Cost of Discipleship is his legacy to Christians today. Today we look at some of the teaching and impact of Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
