Starting Right

We have just adjusted our time here in BC, setting our clocks back an hour to what is known as 'Standard Time'.  What it really means is that when the days were already getting shorter, we have now made the darkness of evening arrive even earlier.  I much prefer as much daylight as possible, in fact the rate of depression over the winter months increases dramatically.  But did you know that there are 'treasures in the darkness?'  Today we talk about that in this 'From the Vault,' episode originally broadcast on April 21 ,2020.

Cory ten Boom had survived Ravensbruck concentration camp in WW2, but she had witnessed the many atrocities and deaths that took place there, including the death of her own sister.  Two years later she was speaking at a church in Munich when a man she hoped never to see again came up to her.   
She has a lesson for us all today.

Ever since Charles Darwin wrote his Theory of Evolution, the understanding that God is the creator of all things has been challenged.  It is to the point now that if a successful scientist says the he believes in a Creator,  they may lose their jobs and be cancelled by the scientific community.  In 1974, Werner von Braun, the director of NASA with the unofficial title of The Father of the American Space Program, was asked about God and creation.  It was refreshing to hear his response.
