Sometimes we are reading through the Bible and we read a verse that we have read many times before, only this time there is something that jumps out at you that you hadn't noticed before.  That is what happened to me recentlyl.

We have talked about many of the different characters found in the Bible.  Some were very famous, some were the least of their families and tribe, and some we don't even know the names of.  So today we are going to look at someone from another group.  Absolom was one of the privileged,  the son of King David.  He could use his position to benefit the nation and help the people, but he had other priorities in mind.  Today we share three short lessons that we can learn from Absolom's life, and death.

R. G. LeTourneau was an inspiring Christian entrepreneur and inventor who was extremely successful during the first half of the 20th century.  His inventions, including the Bulldozer, and other earth moving machinery, changed the world forever.  Yet his most important contributions were in his support of the advancement of the Gospel.  He is viewed as one  of the greatest Christian Businessmen of all time.  Here is part of his story today.

Wouldn't it be great if we never had to have a disagreement or confrontation with someone?  Unfortunately, I don't believe that we see that in this lifetime, but I do believe that we can help ourselves have fewer misunderstandings and confrontations. In fact, I know there is one person who is responsible for most of our problems and if we can control that person, we will live a much more peaceful life.
