This is my favourite episode about prayer.  Far too often we make prayer more complicated and difficult than it is.  It is not about manipulating God nor is it about a well-prepared monologue where we do all the talking.  Prayer is just talking with God and letting him speak to us.

From 1848 to 1854, over 20,000 workers completed a railway in Austria from Glozznitz to Mürzzuschlag.  One of the very unusual things about this section of railway was that it wasn't until 1863 that a locomotive was built that could handle the steep and winding track.  Yet the track was made because the construction engineers believed there would be a locomotive, even though they had even seen it yet.

Last weekend I was watching a football game on TV.  My team was losing badly and there were only about three minutes left.  I decided that I had other things to do and there was no way they could win it now.  Big mistake.
