My son Jon has developed a skill in working with wood.  He has made some beautiful furniture, shelving pieces and even a Viking shield.  He loves working with wood, and his specialty is using recycled wood, wood that others would throw away.  He can see and bring out the beauty of the wood whereas others only see garbage.

A recent survey by the University of Chicago showed that many people believe their level of patience has decreased over the past few years.  That is probably an accurate reflection of our world.  We have access to many instant answers and actions and if we find that we have to wait for something or someone, we are far less likely to be patient.
Today we talk about some keys from the Bible about how to stay patient even when people and events do go our way as quickly as we would like.

At last week's annual Dove Awards for Christian Music, Brandon Lake won the top awards for Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.  Today we discuss one of Brandon's newest releases, 'Tear Off The Roof'.  
This is a powerful song based on the story from Mark chapter 2 and Luke chapter 8, which tell of the paralytic man being lowered through the roof to be healed by Jesus.

We all face giants in our lives.  The things and people that we feel will harm us or our loved ones.  Our world seems full of those giants at every turn, from pandemics to financial instability, to war in Israel and Gaza and increasing political friction at home.  We face giants every day.

White Fang was one of Jack London's best books.  It tells the story of an animal, half dog, and half wolf, who became devoted to his master and live among men.  It is a wonderful story with many lessons to learn and taught along the way.  
White Fang loved to kill chickens, and today we look at how he learned not to kill them and the lesson we can learn from it as well.
