Sam Eitzen’s Seattle-based photo and video booth startup The SnapBar is in the business of making people smile for the camera at hundreds of events and parties.
The idea is gift boxes, packed with five to seven local items crafted by struggling businesses in the Seattle area.
A “Keep Seattle Smiling Box,” for instance, sells for $75 and contains products across a range of categories including taste (snacks, chocolate); art (stickers, cards); drinks (coffee, tea); lifestyle (candles, notebooks); and skin care (lotions, soaps).
They’re also working with corporate accounts in other cities around the U.S. for bulk orders of custom gift boxes.
“We’re doing everything we can to shore up expenses and generate revenue in a time that just doesn’t look good for the in-person event industry,” Eitzen said. | To read full story, visit https://startuparound.com/read/1584900010.4874423/Photo-booth-startup-hit-hard-by-loss-of-live-events-pivots-to-gift-boxes-to-try-to-‘Keep-Your-City-Smiling’?ref=audio_experience
