This episode takes a look at the restructuring of the University of Wyoming and the proposed plan for the School of Computing. We were joined by ASUW President, Hunter Swilling, to discuss the budget cuts at UW and that leading to the restructuring. Additionally, we are joined by President Ed Seidel as well to discuss the proposed plan of the School of Computing. 

In this episode, there will be a look into the future plans of the University of Wyoming. There will also be a major focus on the impact that these changes will have on students and the campus! 

This episode is a bit more of a serious episode with the topic of mental health. Taking care of yourself is extremely important and should be taken seriously. This episode features special guest ASUW Director of Wellness and Sustainability, Rhiannon McLean, to speak about the importance of taking mental health seriously, most, if not everyone, experiencing some issues, and resources available to all students. 

Director Clark and McLean take a bit of a non-traditional style to this podcast episode, having a conversation about mental health and even sharing a little bit about their experiences and mental health-related issues.

This episode will take a look into the Legislative branch of ASUW with a deep dive into the ASUW Senate. With guests, ASUW Vice President, Colter Anderson, and Chief of Legislative Affairs, Kathryne Carrier, the Pokes Podcast discovers more about the Senate. Topics that are covered in this episode are general information about the Senate, how students can get involved, the First-Year Senate, and current legislation on the floor of the Senate!

Beginning the fall 2021 semester, ASUW has loads of new changes! In this episode, we hear from new ASUW President Hunter Swilling and Chief of Staff Hazel Homer-Wambeam. The two touch base with the student population with a warm welcome to campus, some advice for freshman and sophomores coming to campus for the first time, the plans and priorities for the 109th ASUW Administration, and the fall 2021 COVID-19 plan that the UW Board of Trustees has implemented.
