It’s disturbing to hear the media talk about Trump’s Day One plans as if he has already won. How we arrived at a place where a person who is wholly unqualified both by temperament and fitness for high office is in a neck and neck race for our highest office is a damning commentary on our collective attention span and lack of desire to educate ourselves about the coming political contest. All I can say is, democracy, tighten your chinstrap. You’re in for a rough ride. Here’s a brief commentary that pulls it all together. I hope you’ll listen.

A Turning Point - Why oh Why

The guest host for today's show is Brad Bannon. Brad runs Bannon Communications Research, a polling, message development and media firm which helps labor unions, progressive issue groups and Democratic candidates win public affairs and political campaigns. Edwith also details 'Project 2025,' a right-wing effort to weaponize a potential second Trump term.
 
Then, Brad Bauman, a Principal in the Raben Group's Strategic Communications practice, talks presidential politics with Brad.
Specifically, he examines President Biden's re-election efforts, and what messaging that Democrats should be using to convince voters to given Biden a second term over Trump.
