We’ve all woken up to the horrible news of yet another terror attack, this time in New Orleans in the US.

An Army veteran driving a pickup truck rained down carnage on New Orleans’ famous New Year’s celebration.

At least 15 people have been killed and dozens more injured, as the driver steered around a police blockade and slammed into revelers before being shot dead by authorities.

New Orleans resident Cynthia Knutson told Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast, 'Right now, we're all just kind of in a state of shock.'

'We're trying to deal with the fact that so many people were killed last night on what should have been a beautiful celebration of the new year.'
