We recently jumped into Sengoku Dynasty's again, but our experience wasn't quite what we expected. While the idea of cultivating crops in feudal Japan is undeniably exciting, we encountered a some bugs, and a surprising emptiness to the game world.

Despite these challenges, we also discovered some nice changes like utilizing Steam invite codes for smoother co-op joining. And while the current state might not be ideal, we're still hopeful that the developers can turn things around and deliver the immersive Sengoku farming experience we were all hoping for.

Episode 22-A | Patch 1.23 DayZ New NWAF, DMR Rifle!

The DayZ 1.23 update is now live, and it brings a number of exciting changes to the game. One of the biggest changes is the overhaul of Vybor Air Base (NWAF). The base has been completely redesigned, with new buildings, new loot spawns, and new dangers. Another addition of the new designated marksman rifle (DMR). The DMR is a powerful semi-automatic rifle that is perfect for long-range engagements. It comes with 10- and 20-round magazines, and it can be equipped with a variety of optics. The update also adds a number of other new items, including a field shovel, padded gloves, winter coif, OKZK hat, Pastushok hat, and Firefighter M3S Wreck. There are also a number of new sound effects for various actions, such as ripping clothes.

Episode 21 - Failure or Amazing??, Enshrouded Demo Review!

Dumpgrah, Dimension119, and JarlofGoats recently had the opportunity to participate in the Enshrouded Demo, which was released ahead of the game's Early Access period. We were surprised by how stable and complete the demo was, and we were very impressed with what we saw.

DayZ update 1.22 includes a number of new features, such as a new map, new weapons, and new vehicles.

Rust's new Airborne Patch adds a new way to travel around the map, by air.

Enshrouded is a new survival game that is built on a voxel engine. This means that the world is made up of small cubes, which allows for a lot of detail and creativity.

Is Starfield a survival game? This is a question that many people are asking, as the game has been described as a "space survival game." with many of its features for a survival game being present but not fully harsh as some would say, could mods or a survival mod that Bethesda has done for other titles in the past make it one?

Calling all Survivors for an update on this early access game. The guys with State of Survival played Sengoku Dynasty which, for its first week of release, actually ran pretty well. While many of the survival elements within the game have yet to be implemented, the alpha has a lot more going for it in its first week than Medieval Dynasty had when it released.

We had our laughs at some of the alpha bugs we encountered, but there is a lot this game has to offer that surprised us, including Coop on day one. The game is beautifully made, very immersive, and has breathtaking landscapes with artistic traditional Japanese ink art that help tell the story in the form of small cinematics. Join us for our initial impressions on gameplay and performance, as we discuss where we hope the game goes from here.

Attention Survivors! Indie Stone has been quiet this later part of the summer as they all have been taking their vacations and breaks, but some news has released since the last time we did some reviews on the Thursboid Podcasts. The news that has released are updates on the smaller things they are working on now with the patches comprising of some major changes coming in Build 42. However small the changes may seem, they have been hinted to before (as far back as 41.63) and we are finally starting to see some of the hypothetical ideas they had earlier come to life. With the announcement that they are hiring more staff for the work toward Build 42 and beyond, there might be more progress to show through the holiday months.
