Gov. Abbott announces a plan to boost public school funding while also allowing parents use public funds to pay for private schools. But it fails to break the stalemate at the Capitol, and Texas teachers find themselves caught in the middle. Some students with special needs are waiting months for the services they need. Our investigators look at overdue special needs evaluations in one Texas school district, and the challenges facing parents and students. COVID cases appear to be rising, but it's getting more difficult to see the effect among some of the most vulnerable Texans. Plus,Texas voters face a billion dollar decision to pay for improvements to water systems in the state.
